The Village Festival

Back to the village, all decoration had finished and everything was ready. The fires had been lit and pork, sheeps and other animals were already on them been cooked.Across rooftops colorfull little flags were hanging, and on the streets you could see women and girls dressed up as Nymphs, holding a basket full of wheats, breads and pies which they gave to people. At the center of the village a big furnace was put in the middle of a circle and around it a playing had started, of how Mother Nature battled the Gods in order for humans to be able to live free on her domain. It was a beautiful story that our mother were reading to us when we were children. All around the village you could hear music and you could see people dancing around. Pretty ladies and handsome men jumping and hugging with a big smile to their faces. the oldest of people were sitting on the big tables drinking wine and laughing with jokes. It was truly a blessed celebration.A celebretion that soon would be ruined...

The celebration of Harvest

(Many thanks to my friend Andreas who sended me the first pic!!!Although he could pick something better... :P)

During the day everyone in Perion village was preparing for the celebration.Colorfull lanterns hanged at every door and gate and ribbons around them to the colours of rainbow. The whole village was smelling like pies! Soon the big fires were going to lit so the villagers could cook porks and beef.As the sun started to fall over the plains and darkeness was taking over light the villagers started to gather in silence in front of the village gate.It was a deadly silence. Now the only light was coming from torches that some villagers were holding. When the last of the villager joined the group they all started to walk to the hill that was right next to the village. The path was leading them to the top of the hill where some big and simple stone structures were standing in a circle creating some king of temple. There the villagers created a circle by standing outside the structures and waited until the man with the torches lighted the torches that were on the structures. Soon a yellow light covered them coming from the flames, that revealed a very old tree standing in the middle of the circle. The elder of the village , Ilor, walked closer to the tree ,leaning on an old cane, until he was right next to it.There he kneeled very slowly and careful. All the other villagers mimiced him and kneeled as well. Ilor mabled some words in a strange language and the light from the torches changed from yellow to purple. Then he speaked to the tree.

"Oh great Mother of Nature.Oh great Spirit of the Earth we step and live.We gathered here today to offer you our thanks. You protect us, you feed us and you let us live in your kingdom and yet you ask nothing of return. So we dedicate this day to you,the day before Harvest, to show you our respect.May your name be praised among the gods and among the races of the earth..."

After those words the flames changed again from purple to yellow. Ilor and the villagers remained there for an hour praying to Mother Nature. This was their thanks to her. This was their ceremony to their Mother. With this the celebration of Harvest could begin!!!

A story made by pictures...

Hello. Today i decided to start a story made by pictures. I dont know what the story will be.I dont know how the story will go.What i want to do is to see a picture and start writting based on that picture. And here i ask for help.I will start the story with a picture i have and after i finish i want anyone who might read this blog to send me a picture on my email (sephiroth5665@hotmail.com).Then i will take his picture and continue the story from there, and so on and so on until the story reached to an end.So please to anyone who read give me a hand ok?Here i go.

This is my home!!Or at least the view from my home.Green plains as far as the eye can see.And with a river passing thourgh. The river is called Kelen, or Blessing as it's called in the common langueage. This land is where my people live for hundrend of years. My ancestors came here after the great war where Limian, our nation, splitted in tribes. But that was over five hundrend years ago. No one knows the reason why this war happened...Not even history book's can say for sure...But all those are in the past.Today my village, Perion, celebrates the coming of harvest and everyone is so happy. This is where my story beggins...
